Ridgeway Tournament

Maidstone Rangers U14's third tournament of the summer it has to be said a bit of a disappointment. The tournament started with an unlucky 2-1 defeat against Ridgeway, Maidstone taking the lead via a cracking free-kick from Craig Roach. But we had to wait until the last game to get a performance from the lads which ended in a goaless draw with Tonbridge Invicta., no goals but some good football was played.

The two games against East Peckham and TW Forrester Eagles saw two defeats whereby the opposition played the sort of football that we are capable of. The only other game ended in a one all draw which perhaps we should have got more from. Daniel Elliot scored a good headed goal with Sam Hubbard rasping a free kick just over the bar.

As per usual our parents provided a great level of support with Paul and Marcus turning up to cheer us on, hopefully not everyone's face was as red as mine (sunburn)!

A big thanks to Mat King for volunteering to play in goal and at least we walked away with a bit of a smile on our faces from the last games performance.
