Maidstone rascals 5 - 3 Kingsdown Racers
McIntyre, Bavin 2,
Kiwanuka 2

Despite the wintry conditions, both teams contributed to a very entertaining game of football in their last meeting of the season.
It was the home team that opened the scoring, after an even start, when a cross from Jessica Bavin was converted by Anna McIntyre from close range after 13 minutes. And it didn't take long for Maidstone to increase the lead further when a corner was poorly defended and Jasmine Kiwanuka finished smartly to make the score 2-0. With a series of missed chances and tough defending at each end the away team finally opened their account to make the score at half-time 2-1.
In the second half, Kingsdown carried on where they left off and soon levelled the match when uncertain defending allowed them through to score. However, the Rascals soon regained the lead as another corner was directed into the goal by Bavin and minutes later she scored her second with a good strike that passed the goalkeeper and found the bottom corner. Kiwanuka continued this good spell when she scored her second goal to make the score 5-2 and the away team finished the scoring with a superb solo run from the half way with the last action of the game.
Players-of -the-match were Danielle Purnell and Anna McIntyre for their excellent contributions to a hard fought victory.
