Maidstone United and Maidstone Rangers Football Clubs have joined together, under the Maidstone United name, to create a major community club.

Mini Kickers at Loose Fete
On 14th June, a group of Maidstone United Rangers Mini-Kickers (5 to 7 year olds) attended Loose Junior School summer fete to do a football demonstration. If anyone is interested in joiniing the team, training takes place between 9 and 10 on Saturday mornings at Oakwood park and costs £2 per session. Everyone is welcome. Ridgeway Tournament
The under 14s suffered a disappointing day at the Ridgeway tournament on 22nd June finishing 5th in their group.

Ditton Community Shield
Maidstone United entered 3 teams into the Ditton tournament / fun day, and as a club, won the first Ditton Community Shield. There were two teams of under 10s, a combination of Rangers, Royals and Rovers, and one of under 8s. The under 8s won their group and Maidstone United were the overall best club.

Under 14s in Tournament Success
Maidstone Rangers started their tournament season by entering two teams into the Barming Youth tournament which took the format of a league, seven games to play. In pretty poor conditions and facing teams mainly from Division 1 & 2, the only other third division team was Holtwood, the resounding league winners this year, Maidstone Rangers A team excelled by finishing second and received runners-up awards. Maidstone Rangers B team finished in a creditable mid table position.

Under 14s News
After 6 years, Paul Edwards has decided to step down as the Under 14s manager to concentrate on his role as Head of Youth Football. Assistant manager John Hubbard will be taking over the reins. Read Paul's thoughts on this season and on his time as manager.
